Coming alongside for the sake of the gospel

Our Name

Parakletos - from the Greek, meaning one who comes alongside to help, a comforter.  One who is summoned, called to another's aid.  In the widest sense, a helper, aider, assistant.  One who pleads for another's cause, an intercessor.

Used of Christ at the right hand of the Father, pleading for the pardon of our sins.  Used of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, leading them into a deeper knowledge of the truth, and giving them divine strength to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the kingdom.

OUR MISSION

Relieve. Refresh. Reclaim.

Relieve

But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12: 24b-26 NASB

Bringing physical relief to the Body of Christ in need.

Refresh

For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition. 1 Corinthians 16:18 NIV Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.

Philemon 1:7 NIV

Bringing spiritual refreshment where the Body of Christ is parched and weary.

Reclaim

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people

Isaiah 11:11

Contending with the forces coming against the Body of Christ to reclaim that which has been stolen.
